1- FINAL RANDOM INSPECTION (FRI)

Performing a FRI is useful as a standard quality assurance check prior to export consignment. This is an evaluation of key product characteristics at the end of the production, when a consignment is 100% produced and at least 80% packed in cartons. It is commonly used to safeguard the shipment according to international sampling plan ANSI/ASQ Z1.4, ISO 2859-1, BS 6001, DIN 40.080, NFX 06.022, UNI 48.42 depending upon Client requirement. A representative number of sample size according to given Client AQL  will be randomly drawn from whole consignment for visual inspection.

A FRI would cover: Product Conformity Check (including Style, Materials and Color), Packing & Assortment Check (including Export Carton Packing, Inner Carton Packing, Product Packaging and Assortment Check), Labeling, Printed Materials & Shipping Marks Check, Workmanship / Appearance / Function Check Onsite Tests (e.g. Barcode Verification, Measurement, Carton and Product Weight…etc).

Performing an IPI is a preventative step as it allows adequate time to make decisions about production components and quality, so to apply corrective actions where required. In general, this inspection takes place when approximately 10-20% of total order quantity is produced. Depending on the product and the manufacturing process, the IPI may cover raw materials, partially completed products and/or finished products and their packaging. Production status is verified at this stage.

Performing a DPI permits confirmation that corrections made following an IPI have been successful and allows another chance to apply further corrective actions where required. A DPI takes place when approximately 40-60% of total order quantity is produced. Depending on the product and the manufacturing process, the DPI may cover raw materials, partially completed products and/or finished products and their packaging. Production status is verified at this stage. After performing DPI, FRI is performed once Goods are 100% produced and finished.

Fabric Inspection is a fabric Visual inspection, to grade fabrics by following Numerical International Standard (4-Point or 10-Point System depend upon Client requirement)

Re-Inspection / Re-FRI is mainly performed once 1st FRI got fail on quality/workmanship or on some other issues (like Wrong Shipping Mark, Wrong Barcode, Wrong Accessory…..etc ), Re-FRI to be conducted by using the same criteria (AQL level, sampling plan…etc.) as for the first/previous inspection. Re-FRI quantity stated on the booking form should be equal or less than the quantity in the first/previous inspection. Re-FRI is conducted when reworked products is 100% produced and 100% packed.

Witnessing of finished product loading and unloading into/from containers, including counting cartons and ensuring cargo is correct against shipping documents. This service can also include the inspection and sealing of shipping containers. This inspection provides witness to the loading and unloading of product to verify that only the inspected and approved final product is shipped and received according to the buyers’ requirements.

Product samples are selected at a factory (or other sampling location) by an inspector for forwarding to a client or to a laboratory for testing. Sample Collection may be performed as a part of a product inspection or as a separate service.
